First Aid At Work

Whether you run an office, a warehouse, a workshop, or any other workplace, you know that accidents can happen when you least expect them. As an employer in the UK, you have a legal responsibility to provide adequate first aid provision for your staff. We’re here to make that easy, practical, and even enjoyable – with regulated qualifications through **Aid Training**, delivered in your workplace or at a venue of your choice.

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) – 1 Day

NOTE: half-day carried out "in person", with the other half-day carried out online (6 hours total).

The 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course gives your staff the essential skills to deal with emergencies in lower-risk environments (offices, shops, cafes, etc.). It’s also ideal for smaller workplaces where a full First Aider may not be required, but someone needs to be confidently trained.

Who Should Attend?

This course is suitable for anyone employed in a low-risk workplace who needs to fulfil the role of Emergency First Aider in their organisation. No prior first aid experience is needed – just a willingness to learn and help others.

What Subjects are Covered?

1. The role and responsibilities of an Emergency First Aider

2. Assessing an incident and prioritising actions

3. Unconsciousness – Recovery Position (adults)

4. Basic Life Support (CPR) for adults

5. Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

6. Choking (adults)

7. Severe bleeding and wound management

8. Shock (including anaphylactic shock awareness)

The above are the core areas for our EFAW course. Because it’s a regulated qualification, these topics are fixed, but we always teach them in a relaxed, practical way. If you have specific workplace concerns, let us know – we can adapt examples and scenarios to fit.

How Much Does it Cost?

£99 per delegate

Minimum 4 delegates per booking.

We can run the course at your premises or arrange a local venue – just get in touch to discuss your needs.

First Aid at Work (FAW) – 3 Days

NOTE: Only 1 day is carried out "in person", with the other 2 days carried out online.

The 3-day First Aid at Work course is the gold standard for higher-risk workplaces (construction, manufacturing, warehousing, etc.) or larger organisations where more comprehensive training is required. It covers a wider range of injuries and illnesses, giving your staff genuine confidence in any emergency.

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for nominated First Aiders in higher-risk environments, or for anyone who wants a deeper, more thorough first aid qualification. It’s also perfect if your workplace risk assessment calls for a fully trained First Aider rather than just an Emergency First Aider.

What Subjects are Covered?

All the topics from the 1-day EFAW course, plus:

1. Injuries to bones, muscles, and joints (fractures, sprains, dislocations)

2. Head and spinal injuries

3. Chest injuries and crush injuries

4. Burns and scalds (major and minor)

5. Eye injuries and foreign objects

6. Poisoning and anaphylaxis (including auto-injector training)

7. Major illnesses – heart attack, stroke, asthma, epilepsy, diabetic emergencies

Again, these are the core regulated subjects from Aid Training. We make sure every delegate gets plenty of hands-on practice. If your workplace has specific risks (e.g. hot works, chemicals, lone working), we’re happy to emphasise those areas during the course.

How Much Does it Cost?

Our EFAW is £125 per person, so you can expect excellent value for the full 3-day qualification.

Minimum 4 delegates per booking.

We can run the course at your premises or arrange a local venue – just get in touch to discuss your needs.
